Mentor Protégé Program

FCS Mentor Protégé RFI Industry Announcement

The FCS Lead System Integrator (LSI) team of Boeing and SAIC has launched a RFI on its FCS website to explore opportunities to utilize Small Diverse Businesses under a Mentor Protégé agreement to work with a FCS Integrated Product Team (IPT) in one or more of the areas listed below. The purpose of this RFI is to identify Protégé candidates whose development goals are a good match for the Program's needs. To be eligible to participate in this RFI, respondents must be a SDB/WOSB/SDVSB/HBCU/MI as set forth in the SBA requirements.

The FCS Program has considered mentoring in the following areas:
* Service-based software architecture technology
* Innovative computers and signal processors
* Through-wall sensing
* Through-foliage sensing
* Remote chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear sensing
* Sensor display technology - vehicle to soldier
* Mine detection from stand-off, on the move
* Affordable integrated multi-mode combat ID
* Lightweight appliqué armor
* Unattended sensors and munitions
* Advanced ammunition variants
* Non-lethal munitions
* High bandwidth networks
* Multi-level secure communications
* Networked fires systems and algorithms
* Sensor data fusion algorithms and processors


If you know of any candidates who meets the DOD Mentor Protégé requirements and has the experience/expertise in one or more of the above areas, please encourage these qualified candidates to participate in this MP process by going directly to the FCS website at: www.boeing.com/fcs and clicking on the Mentor Protégé RFI link. The deadline for the candidates to submit their RFI package to the FCS Program is by 5:00 p.m. (PST) on May 13, 2005 via e-mail address at fcssupplierdiversity@boeing.com.

SWCO PTAC staff are directed by the principles of EIC. EIC stands for Educate, Inspire, and Collaborate. We Educate, Inspire, and Collaborate with our clients and they, in turn, Educate, Inspire, and Collaborate with others in the community.
The Southwest Central Ohio Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) is a sub-center of the State of Ohio Procurement Technical Assistance Program.  The State PTAC program is a cooperative effort among Ohio Department of Development, U.S. Department of Defense and various local host organizations.   The SWCO PTAC is hosted and supported by the Edison Materials Technology Center (EMTEC). The mission of the PTAC program is to provide technical assistance to Ohio companies desiring to enter local, state and federal government markets, as a means to support economic development, and to foster the retention and creation of Ohio jobs. The State of Ohio PTAC program is one of 93 PTAC programs located throughout the United States.
