SWCO PTAC conducts its New Client Orientation & Networking Events at a different location within our 33 county service area. Attendance at one of these events is the second step to becoming a SWCO PTAC client.

Once you have attended a SWCO PTAC New Client Orientation & Networking Event, you will need to complete the new client paperwork and submit it to your SWCO PTAC Procurement Counselor

Once your SWCO PTAC Procurement Counselor receives your completed new client paperwork, they will set up your client file and will research your company's potential for government contracting. They will contact you during this process if they have any questions.

| Once your client file has been completed, your SWCO PTAC Procurement Counselor will schedule an initial one on one counseling session with you. During this session, your SWCO PTAC Procurement Counselor will work with you to determine the best approach for you to take as you move forward in your endeavor to do business with the government. This is your opportunity to ask questions and share your vision and anticipated approach with your SWCO PTAC Procurement Counselor. Your SWCO PTAC Procurement Counselor will leave you with plenty of 'homework' to get you started on this endeavor. |

After your initial counseling session, you will have questions as you complete your 'homework' given by your SWCO PTAC Procurement Counselor. You and your SWCO PTAC Procurement Counselor will meet for follow-up one on one counseling sessions as often as is necessary to move you through the process of getting government contracts.

| The Southwest Central Ohio Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) is a sub-center of the State of Ohio Procurement Technical Assistance Program. The State PTAC program is a cooperative effort among Ohio Department of Development, U.S. Department of Defense and various local host organizations. The SWCO PTAC is hosted and supported by the Edison Materials Technology Center (EMTEC). The mission of the PTAC program is to provide technical assistance to Ohio companies desiring to enter local, state and federal government markets, as a means to support economic development, and to foster the retention and creation of Ohio jobs. The State of Ohio PTAC program is one of 93 PTAC programs located throughout the United States. |
